Raytown, MO

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Raytown is a city in Jackson County, Missouri, United States, and is a suburb of Kansas City. The population was at 29,526 in 2010 census.
Raytown is situated conveniently on the East side of Kansas City. Raytown is considered a "First Suburb"; First suburbs are communities where a majority of the housing was built shortly after World War II and limited amounts of undeveloped land exist within the city's boundaries. These communities face common issues related to the age of their private and public infrastructure and their lack of green fields for development. However, they also have a number of assets including strong leadership, strong community institutions and excellent geographic location. Surrounded by Kansas City, Independence, Lee's Summit and Grandview, MO; Raytown is close to everything! The demographics of Raytown has been changing for some time, with a large influx of younger people taking advantage of the quality schools and affordable housing.
